Black and White Cabin Nursery

This baby boy’s nursery was in the most beautiful cabin home. The warm wood walls were complimented by black and white tones in the artwork, bedding, and curtains. I love the combination of the rustic walls with the elegant curtains framing the black iron crib. I think my favorite detail was the patterned black and white rocker!

Greenville SC Newborn Photography

My in home newborn sessions are characterized by natural, lifestyle posing. Clients select a couple of favorite outfits or blankets to include during our session. I will carefully wrap and position your baby so he is as comfortable and natural as possible. Most of our portraits will be done with him in the arms of family members or laying in the crib. My goal is for your newborn photos to look as natural and timeless as possible!

The Importance of Lighting Expertise

This unique cabin nursery had the best combination of rustic and refined elements. However the wood walls, ceilings, and floors create a tricky lighting situation. The wood can create an orange color cast and can seem dark due to the lack of natural light in the room. However we were still able to get bright and beautiful images thanks to off camera lighting. It is so important to select an in home newborn photographer who has lighting knowledge so you can get beautiful images no matter the natural lighting!

Membership Perks

This sweet family selected a membership collection to include a newborn session and first birthday session. After the session I went through the photos with them to select their favorites to go in an album. In a year we will do the first birthday session and add our favorites from that session to the album to complete it. In the meantime, they are able to enjoy all their digital files from the newborn session and will have a completed first year album at the end of our membership!

Portraits With the Whole Family

I believe its so important to include all the members of your family during a session. We always get a shot of your entire family, but I also spend time getting portraits of your newborn with each parent and sibling too. And of course we always feature your baby in individual portraits!
