Greenville Family Photos at Cottage full of Southern Charm

As a Greenville family photographer, I love photographing families in spaces that are meaningful. This family are beloved long time clients who recently designed and built an amazing home. Their white cottage looks like a dream from the pages of Southern Living. We spent our Greenville summer session in their front yard, getting photos on their white front porch, framed with limelight hydrangeas and greenery all around. We also moved into the sprawling from yard where the setting sun was able to illuminate the large mature trees in their from yard.

If you have invested a lot of time and effort in creating a beautiful space for your family, why not be photographed in that special place? When your children are adults, the photos will be even more meaningful because they can see their family home as the backdrop and it will bring back so many warm memories of the family together. What to Wear for Greenville Family Photos?

Another perk of portraits taken in your Greenville home is that you can be barefoot! This lends an effortless look to your family photos, showing the comfort of home. Choosing outfits doesn’t have to be complicated. This family selected all white, featuring a few textures to add visual interest. I love the way the white stands out amongst all the green. In my opinion a classic timeless look is always your best option.

Simple white button downs for the boys was an excellent option. To add a more casual feel, they were rolled to the elbow and paired with shorts. The texture of Mom’s dress brought interest to the whole family look. Baby sister wore a special heirloom dress, hand sewn by her grandmother!
