3 Things to Include in Your Greenville 1st Birthday Photo Session

Milestones

1. A Time for Classic Portraits

Every Greenville 1st birthday photo session should begin with a focus on the birthday boy or girl! The goal here to to get classic and timeless portraits that will stand the test of time. We want to freeze this milestone for you to remember forever. That first birthday is a big celebration, not only for your baby but for you as parents. You’ve made it through a fertility journey, pregnancy, and a whole year of providing for and caring for your precious little one. You all deserve to commemorate this special time!

2. The Whole Family!

While the session is focused on your one year old, I always recommend including the whole family for a few shots. Not only for you, but for your child! I can guarantee that when they are adults, their favorite portraits will the ones with you in them. They can not only see themselves, but can see their special relationship with their family and the love shared between you.

3. It’s a Celebration, Bring on the Cake Smash!

The best way to end a Greenville 1st Birthday photo session is with a cake smash! This is such a playful and fun experience for both parents and the child. It really showcases the silliness of this sweet age and can lead to some amazing photos of your child enjoying themselves!

After the Session: An Album or Frame Dedicated to this Milestone

What happens AFTER your session is just as important as what happens during it. I’m passionate about helping busy families enjoy their portraits in a tangible form. Too often parents enjoy the initial high of seeing their portraits in digital form, and then get too busy to every plan how print them. Then the portraits end up on a phone or computer instead of in their hands. My top two recommendations for artwork from a Greenville 1st birthday photo session are a framed portrait or an album full of all the session’s images.

I recently saw first hand how important it is to print your photos. My grandmother passed away last year, and my mother has been going through all the things in her house. One of the items she passed on to me was a framed portrait of my sisters and I when we were young. That portrait hung in my grandmothers home for over 30 years. Now it’s been given to me and it will hang in my home. When we leave this earth, no one will be taking the time to scrounge through old and outdated phones and electronic devices to see memories. It’s only the printed ones that will be passed on!
