I’m a Greenville SC in home newborn photographer who specializes in capturing timeless portraits of young families in their homes. I began my photography business almost 10 years ago in Atlanta. I served families there for year before returning to the Upstate with my family. My husband attended Clemson so we lived here when we were first married and loved living here. We were so excited to return to the Greenville area! Today I’m sharing all the details about what to expect with me as your newborn photographer.

When to Schedule with a Greenville SC In Home Newborn Photographer

I recommend reserving your session once you are in your second trimester. When expecting mothers contact me for a newborn session, I pencil in their due date on my calendar. Then we wait until the baby is born to select our exact session date. I only schedule a limited amount of due dates each month to be sure I can give each newborn session the time and attention needed. I’m not a photographer who you just hear from on your session day. I work closely with families to make sure they are prepared and comfortable during our session, walking away with photos and products they love!

What to Expect During Your Greenville SC Newborn Session

Newborn sessions are completely centered around your baby! I’m patient and calm and work to soothe your child, always putting the baby’s needs first. You don’t have to worry about how much natural light your home receives, as I have a simple lighting system that fits in any home to create beautiful light filled images. The photos seen in this blog post were taken on a very cloudy and dreary day. All the bright photos from this session were achieved with my flash!

During our session I work to get individual shots of your baby, the whole family, and each parent with the baby. For families who have other children, they are always included too! And we always get a sibling shot…even if it’s furry sibling!

What Happens After Your Newborn Session: The Most Important Part!

This is part where most photographers fall short. After a session they send over a huge gallery of images and leave you with it. Then you are left to sift through them all. You will be exhausted from caring for your newborn and left with figuring out how to print and preserve these memories. I love taking care of this for my clients! I listen to what clients want most from their session, and then I custom design heirloom products for them. When it comes to newborn sessions, the most popular option is an album. I help parents select their favorite photos and design a photo album that serves as a baby book that can be passed down for generations! As an added bonus, there is an option to order grandparent albums too. These are miniature duplicates of your baby’s album that make the most thoughtful gift for loving grandparents!
