Grandparent Portraits | Cumming Family Photography

Last weekend I left Cumming to drive down to my hometown of Dublin, Georgia, where I had the honor of photographing the family of one of my childhood friends. When I was growing up, I spent so many days playing at Mollie’s home and her parents are a big part of those fun memories. They welcomed all her friends into their house and indulged us as we were silly and probably more than a little destructive!

Now Mollie’s parents are grandparents to 4 beautiful children. As a Christmas gift, Mollie and her brother gave her parents a portrait session with their grandchildren. What a wonderful idea for a gift! I know right now, it may be the grandparents who treasure these photos the most. But from my own experience, I know these kids are going to cherish these photos when they are adults.

I was lucky enough to grow up with loving and involved grandparents, and have some sweet (and often funny!) memories with them. There is no bigger blessing that wonderful grandparents who invest in their grandchildren. I love the idea of taking time to have portraits taken with such important and special people.
