Callum | Cumming Milestone Photographer

Meet squishy little Callum. Six months ago I had the honor of photographing this guy’s newborn session with his family in Stone Mountain. I can’t believe it’s been six months! Now Callum is almost sitting independently so it was time to photograph milestone portraits to capture all the ways he’s grown and changed.  Callum and his mom came to Cumming to meet me to photograph this sweet milestone session.

If you want to document your child’s first year with portraits, I recommend newborn photos, around 6 months (or when your baby starts to sit), and at one year. Having them done 3 times in that first year is a great way to document the changes and growth without feeling overwhelmed with constantly scheduling portrait sessions. Milestone sessions are usually quick, around 15 minutes, and are just to capture updated portraits of your baby.

Callum has two older siblings, and his family has a tradition of getting a portrait at 6 months old just like the one at the top of this post, on this quilt. His mom has them printed large and beautifully framed side by side. Now it’s time for Callum to join the wall!
